Metastorm announces BI module for its Hyperion BPM software

Integrated BI component enables advanced query and analysis with real-time capability as part of business process management offering.

COLUMBIA, MD -October 7, 2004 - Metastorm today announced the release of a new business intelligence module, e-Work Insight, built on the company's Hyperion software engine

Metastorm makes business process management software for automating, managing, and controlling processes manufacturing. Its products are used by business, healthcare and government customers.

e-Work Insight integrates with Metastorm's Hyperion software engine to provide query and analysis capabilities including configurable dashboards, packaged and customizable reports. It gives users the ability to analyze and forecast trends based on time-phased data analysis, and to drill down into real-time data and take immediate action against a live process.

e-Work Insight is accessed from Metastorm's existing process management portal and its functions can be applied to existing processes and databases.

e-Work Insight features include:

  • Time-phased trend analysis that can be accessed via reports or combined with Metastorm's simulation engine to forecast future process needs for strategic planning and resource allocation over time.

  • Real-time drilldown into live process data to help process managers analyze process performance metrics.

  • Monitoring of critical business processes.

"Our basic reporting and analysis capabilities serve many of our customers well, but we wanted to exceed expectations and deliver something much more powerful - including the ability to perform process trend analysis and take action against the lowest levels of process detail through a real-time drilldown interface," said Greg Carter, CTO of Metastorm, in a company statement.
