John Abel works in the sustainability group within Google Cloud’s Office of the CTO, a team of former CTOs and senior technologies that advise some of Google Cloud’s most strategic customers. He is focused on using emerging technologies to enable the acceleration of reducing carbon emissions and building transformational solutions. John also supports a number of STEM projects that are aimed at enhancing participation and is also a proud ambassador for the British Dyslexia Association.

John began his career over 30 years ago, working on early AI and distributed ledger technologies. His expertise at Oracle and now Google has led to him being a renowned industry speaker, author and commentator on technical and business innovation issues.
