Today's Man Looks To Expand Web Presence

Wall Street may not be convinced that E-commerce sites are viable, but across town in New York's Garment District, online retailers say they're making money.

Today's Man, the East Coast's largest men's clothing chain, is so pleased with the results of its year-old Web site that it's working on taking the site global and "reinventing ourselves as a media company," says chairman David Feld, the company's former CEO who now focuses on Internet initiatives. Among these initiatives will be "movie-quality" views of the merchandise, he says, "the kind of interaction you get with video games," content, and entertainment.

Today's Man has 28 stores in Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, D.C.
