TEAC Launches New Family Of External Hard Drives

TEAC's Data Storage Products Division has launched a new family of 3.5- and 2.5-inch external hard drives.

TEAC's Data Storage Products Division has launched a new family of 3.5- and 2.5-inch external hard drives and anticipates demonstrating the drives at the Consumer Electronics Show in January in Las Vegas.

The 3.5-inch drives are available in USB 2.0 and USB 2.0/Firewire combo configurations in various capacities from 40GB to 250GB. The 2.5-inch Slim Portable Hard Disk Drive is available in USB 2.0 only in capacities from 40GB to 80GB.

The company said the external drives have aluminum cases for maximizing heat dissipation. In addition, all drive models include NTI Backup software version 3.0. The 3.5-inch drives are available now and the 2.5-inch models will be offered after the end of January.
