Changes at HP
That was a lot of insight stuffed into one report on the health of HP. The split of the printer business alone would help to explain why revenue looks different. Mix in the market instability we just saw a couple of weeks ago with a company the size of HP that is trying to make big changes and this dip isn't all that surprising. I was surprised to hear that they plan to lay off 25,000-30,000 people, if a company has that many jobs that they think are unnecessary it makes you wonder what services/products they intend on eliminating or cutting back on. With cloud services forcing big tech companies to shift their focus and HP's decision not to play in that arena I hope they have a solid plan for weathering that storm.
