Mobile interfaces
A number of technologies had to mature to the brought FedEx could bring them together to make this possible. I find it interesting the role mobile touchscreens play -- that makes it more valuable since people can react to data on the run, but it also makes it more efficient to use and to train people. That's something I hear often about mobile/ touchscreen apps -- the training requires not much more than a simple video, if the interface is done right.
