ARIS Platform v. 7.0
This BPM "platform" doesn't include a process execution engine, but some mature, sophisticated tools for everything else make IDS Scheer a partner of choice for ISVs and enterprises running ERP. The 7.0 upgrade features completely redesigned user interfaces and Web-enabled functionality, giving larger, distributed companies the ability to change business processes anywhere, anytime. Web publishing helps companies create portal environments and make business process content available throughout the organization. ARIS has also targeted the much-hyped area of compliance management with ARIS Audit Manager, which includes full documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 certification, Basel II and others. ARIS for SAP NetWeaver provides a detailed description of the process architecture including the SAP process contents, implementation with the SAP Solution Manager and integration of executable processes in SAP Exchange Infrastructure. Hyperion System 9
Performance management, in the words of Hyperion's new chief strategy officer (and until recently, Gartner Fellow) Howard Dresner, is "business intelligence with a purpose." In this major release, Hyperion leaves no doubt about its purpose: to be the leading performance management "system" vendor. What's novel about System 9 is the fusion of financial management applications with Hyperion's BI platform and "foundation services," which include master data management. Users work with the system through Hyperion Workspace, a dashboard that owes its look and feel to famous Frog Design. Elements "know about each other," says CTO John Kopke, so that updates are immediately reflected in all Workspace areas. Users don't have to jump from tool to tool. Hyperion System 9 boasts "seamless" integration with Microsoft Office. Data mining, profitability analysis and a compliance dashboard top the list of integrated applications and BI features.
