Oracle on Monday unveiled version 9 of the PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management suite of analytical applications.

New features include expanded capabilities for enterprise planning and compliance management, and the introduction of reporting and analysis features tailored to the higher education industry.

The features for colleges and universities include analytics for recruiting, admissions, student records and student financial data captured in a data warehouse. The analysis and reporting can help institutions maximize student recruiting efforts, improve retention rates, identify successful and unsuccessful programs, analyze faculty workloads and more tightly manage tuition awards and payments.

The more vertical enhancements revolve around planning, budgeting and forecasting processes. In addition, the upgrade includes a new feature that brings together financial data from disparate sources, provides parent companies with an analysis of ownership and control rules of its subsidiaries, and gives users the ability to drill down to the related ownership rules. The new feature is contained in the suite's Enterprise Global Consolidations application.

PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management is available now. Pricing was not disclosed.
