Ketera on Tuesday upgraded the spend-analysis module within the company's hosted business-to-business platform for buyers and suppliers.

Spend Analysis 5.0 includes new processing technology the delivers analytics faster and with higher accuracy, the Santa Clara, Calif., company said. In developing the software, Ketera focused on ensuring "high-quality data cleansing and classification in an automated and easy-to-use solution," Arun Prakash, senior director of products at Ketera, said in a statement.

In general, Ketera's online software enables buyers to track the money spent on supplies, and to monitor suppliers' performance. Buyers pay a monthly fee, while suppliers can participate at no charge. The hosted system also allows buyers to place and track orders.

Spend Analysis 5.0 is available now. Pricing was not disclosed.
