Interior Taps TechSolutions for Information Management

The Department of the Interior's National Business Center has selected TechSolutions as a total information management and reporting system for the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) function.

The National Business Center (NBC) serves as the systems manager and general purpose computing host for the Department of the Interior's (DOI) department-wide administrative ADP systems, supporting the functions of budget, procurement and contracts, personnel management, finance and accounting, E-Government and other general administrative services. NBC recently selected TechSolutions' Visual Powerfiles for EEO, a server-based software package, as a total information management and reporting system for the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) function.

Visual Powerfiles for EEO was designed to keep Federal EEO agencies fully compliant with EEOC reporting requirements, running all needed reports within minutes. The software package handles personnel data with efficiency, via one central location. The ability to access data from a central location allows an organization to make downloads available to multiple field offices simultaneously. Field offices do not need to obtain separate downloads when data is updated; organizations must only download data once to make information available to everyone who needs it, saving time and effort.

"The fact that all the reporting needs for an organization's Multi-Year Affirmative Action Plan can be run within minutes makes Visual Powerfiles for EEO pay for itself in the first year of use," said Robert Patterson, systems architect for TechSolutions. "What once took weeks now takes minutes."
