Two divisions of Dole Food Co. Inc. have licensed Information Resources Inc.'s advanced analytics for the consumer packaged goods industry, IRI says.

Two divisions of Dole Food Co. Inc. have licensed Information Resources Inc.'s advanced analytics for the consumer packaged goods industry, IRI said Wednesday.

Under the deal, Dole Packaged Foods in Westlake Village, Calif.; and Dole Fresh Vegetables in Salinas, Calif., would use IRI products and services beginning in September. Financial details were not disclosed.

Julie Poduch, vice president of marketing, research and development for Dole Fresh Vegetables, said in a joint statement with that the analytics vendor was chosen following a "careful review."

IRI President and Chief Executive Scott W. Klein said the company's software and services would provide the divisions with "significant insight into consumer preferences."

Dole Food, which in 2005 had $5.9 billion in revenues, is producer and marketer of fruit, vegetables and flowers.
