Cast Iron Offers Integration Appliance For NetSuite

NetSuite is the latest software-as-a-service vendor supported by Cast Iron integration appliances, which are billed as supporting application integration through configuration rather than coding.

Cast Iron Systems is offering either hosted or on-premise technology for integrating business systems with NetSuite's on-demand customer relationship management or enterprise resource planning applications.

NetSuite is the latest software-as-a-service vendor supported by Cast Iron integration appliances, which are billed as supporting application integration through configuration rather than coding. The boxes include pre-built connectors for SAP, Oracle, Salesforce.com, RightNow, Certain Software, Clarify and Remedy environments, as well as flat-files, Web services, and messaging systems.

In addition, Cast Iron connectors are available for major databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Informix and IBM's DB2. The boxes also include built-in transformation, business logic and management software, so IT staff with basic knowledge can integrate through a mapping interface.

Companies using Cast Iron for NetSuite integration include IBA Molecular, a manufacturer of technology used in cancer diagnosis and therapy.

Cast Iron has introduced three appliances for connecting to NetSuite. The iA2000-NS connects to a single application, the iA2500-NS is an entry-level enterprise-class product that's also for connecting to one application, and the iA3000-NS is the full enterprise product for connecting to many on-premise and on-demand applications.

"The Cast Iron Integration Solution for NetSuite, whether hosted in the cloud or deployed on-premises, is simple to use, quick to deploy, cost-effective, and ready to scale as companies grow," Ken Come, president and chief executive of Cast Iron, said in a statement.

Cast Iron appliances are available on a subscription basis at $2,500, $4,500 and $6,000 per month. Upgradeable appliances are also available, with prices starting at $125,000.
