Slower Uptake Ahead For Hana
With Microsoft and Oracle both promising in-memory database options this year, I predict it will be slower going for Hana. Many customers of these vendors will want to wait and see what these options will cost and whether they will be less disruptive and costly than moving to Hana.
Now that a full year of revenue have been realized from both Ariba and SuccessFactors, it's time for SAP to do another/more cloud acquisitions or it will see it's cloud growth rate fall flat. Either that or it will have to get aggressive again about introducing cloud-based alternatives and enhancements for legacy on-premises apps.
