Okay, let's look at the bright side. Optimism, man! This might not be as ridiculous and bad as it seems for three reasons:
1. Apparently none of the people I knew who were in Times Square on New Years Eve were aware of what RIM's described as them "taking it over" so, there's a good chance that no one will become aware of this marketing.
2. At least none of their cartoon characters are overtly racist. Although I thought for a moment that the really pale one was undead.
3. While RIM's antics and business decisions have been a constant source of entertainment for the last few years, just think of how much less drama we'll read about once they go out of business.
