re: Motorola's Moto G Targets Emerging Markets
What's not to like for under $200!? Is LTE worth the extra $ when HSPA+ 21Mbps isn't bad? It's not as thin as the X, but it's still less than 1/2" thick. It's missing 802.11ac, but it still supports 802.11n. The screen is small, but is that really a problem?
Overall, it seems like Google-rola made appropriate trade-offs for a cheap phone! It is perfectly adequate for my kids. If I want to pay $150-200 more, I can get the Nexus 5 and get more memory, 802.11ac, and LTE. I wish the Moto X was priced similar to the Nexus 5 and Google-rola would have two winners.
