Microsoft's Surface 3 Promises Windows 10, Kills Windows RT

Microsoft's newest Surface 3 ditches ARM for Intel. It packs a full version of Windows 8.1 and has an upgrade to Windows 10 coming later. The Surface 3 can be a tablet or a laptop. Prices start at less than $500.

Re: Looking Fwd to It
I hadn't put much thought into a hybrid device before recently, but now I'm using a Surface Pro 3 and love it. I couldn't use a tablet for productivity - I do way too much typing! But this combines the best of both.

Re: Looking Fwd to It
Personally, I will never ever buy a tablet for $500. It is way too expensive for me. If I had the money, I would rather have a laptop hybrid.
Nevertheless, for this person that I mentioned, I'm gonna propose an Android tablet. It is certainly less money.

@mak63 – Do you think its on a reasonable price now? Actually you could buy an android tablet for much lower price.

Re: Looking Fwd to It
@pcharles – I am still thinking if I should go for a Microsoft surface device or stick with my existing Sony Xperia Z android tablet. The only thing holding me back is the premium pricing. Do you think its worth the upgrade?

Re: Pending Review
I wish they could come up with a reasonable price for most of us to afford. I love the sleek design and window support. Great for both personal and official use.

I am too! Actually, a client told me just yesterday that she wanted a Surface 3 Pro, but she has only a $500 budget. Told her she didn't have enough. I believe she will be very happy with this news.

Looking Fwd to It
I'm looking forward to it. I've heard a lot of good things about the Surface 3, minus the prices.

no more RT FTW
I'm so glad windows RT is going to die, just always seemed like an ill-advised attempt at out dating the existing society. The age of compatibility is coming back.
