Re: Problem beyond repair
People are going third-party because it might be cheaper or easier. When I broke my iPhone screen last year (on a saturday), I immediately went to the Apple web site to set up a genius appointment, willing to pay the $130 or whatever it was to fix the screen. The earliest appointment I could get was like wednesday.
So I looked around the web and found a place open on Sunday that could replace it the same day. Actually cost me more money. But I got it fixed, without having to wait four days (at least), deal with a mall parking lot, idiots in an apple store, waiting around for someone to help me, and go back hours (or days? who knows) later to get my phone.
The only thing I need to look into is what did they fix. I don't know if they replaced the touch ID button or not.
