It's true, technology advances once flowed from business space to the consumers market, and now, that relationship has largely reversed. But the pendulum may well swing again -- to a place where application development flows both ways. There's a good chance Google Glass will find itself in that position because of its novel nature. It's main advantage seems to be hands-free access to information. That could help doctors to airline mechanics to building inspectors. It's hard to know, and one of the reasons why the need for a killer app, like Lotus for the PC may not be as relevant for Google Glass.
