If you downloaded Research In Motion's new App World for your BlackBerry and have had a few problems with it, you're not alone. Users have reported connectivity and other issues. RIM has responded swiftly with an update to App World. In the two days that I've been using BlackBerry App World, I've had a few problems with it. It's been very slow to respond and has been sluggish. It is also giving me errors telling me that my device doesn't have enough free memory to download and install applications. My Storm disagrees, and tells me there are 750MB of free space.

In response to the problems, RIM has updated App World. The original version of App World was 1.0.0.26. The new version, which must be downloaded and installed, is 1.0.0.27. According to reports, it clears up any connectivity issues that users might have been experiencing. I haven't had a chance to re-download the application yet myself.

You can snag the new file here.

I am impressed that RIM responded to App World problems so swiftly. Good job, guys. Now about my BlackBerry Storm's firmware...
