Free advice, but what's it worth?
In the mid-1980s, Gates had great insight into the emerging PC era because he wsa a skilled programmer and understood what could be done with personal computers. He had a feel for the level of softwrae that should be written for their users. Lot's of spreadsheets existed on minicomputers before 123 and Excel came along but they were hard to use, even if you were an accountant. It's not clear to me ithat he'll offer same insight in the cloud era.

Re: Who To Play Gates?
As someone who got exactly what he wanted from Snakes on a Plane, I would very much like the idea of Samuel L. Jackson's Jules Winnfield character from Pulp Fiction somehow landing the lead role in a Gates biopic. I'm with the Redditors (and evidently Melinda Gates) on that one. If nothing else, it seems like an episode of Drunk History waiting to happen.

Spacey is an interesting choice, though. When they inevitably make a Gates film, I don't think they should strive too much for physical verisimilitude. The approach certainly didn't do much for the Kutcher-led Jobs biopic. When he made The Social Network, David Fincher, on the other hand, didn't seem to care much if Jesse Eisenberg looked just like Mark Zuckerberg, or if Andrew Garfield bore more than a passing resemblance to Eduardo Saverin. I think it's better to go with an actor who could embody Gates's attitude than one who happens to look like him.

Who To Play Gates?
Kevin Spacey might be a fun choice to play Gates. Who else?
