It's Nguyen, not Dong...
In Vietnam, names are presented with the surname first. So the guy's last name is Nguyen, not Dong, and sentences like "Dong said..." just make you look culturally illiterate.

Re: It's Nguyen, not Dong...
In journalism, quotes are often presented using the speakers last name, for example "Obama said on Tuesday..."

Indeed, in the Vietnamese press, writers use "Dong" rather than "Nguyen." The Reuters article cited, written by a Hanoi correspondent, does the same. However, our style is to use the surname.

Hot phones
Pretty amazing to see how quickly a market can emerge around a product that is no longer available.  But just as amazing that someone would $10,000 + for a phone with this app.

Re: Hot phones
People doubting this was a viral hit weren't at the same basketball game I was at recently, as a dozen 7th graders sitting behind me dueled each other on their phones to topple the Flappy Bird champ. Sure sounded viral to me.

Good for him.
You have to respect a person who values happiness and simplicity over money. That's so rare these days.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but...
FWIW, numerous Redditors have suggested (and I doubt that they're wrong) that the "completed sales" on eBay are probably fakes, to get attention.

In any case, it's all the more unlikely that a phone with Flappy Birds on it is worth a small fortune if reports that the game is coming back are correct.

Re: Hot phones
I'm more a fan of The Impossible Game.  Very difficult, but with variety.
