Why Google Street View lands in Europe
Very helpful to the first time traveler. Could it be Google Street View is picturing airports in Europe and Asia first because it doesn't want a run-in with Homeland Security in the U.S.?

I was thinking the same thing - what are the security implications here? Some could say this is a potential roadmap for a terrorist.

Potential terrorists already can scout sites in person. Pictures don't really change anything.

While the security concerns are minimal, since as you point out anyone can wander around in an airport and snap all the pictures they want, I fully expect the maroons at DHS to block this.  Common sense, as Mark Twain avowed, is the least common of all senses.  At virtually all gubmint agencies, it is not only missing but reviled.

BTW, the new comment system is not an improvement, though it is better than some you've used in the relatively distant past.
