re: Mobile BI: Native App Or Browser?
Thanks for this write-up!
I would add that Native app is faster in performance and higher in reliablity than any other solutions. Moreover, just native app can let you take full advantages of the latest mobile technology, like mobile payment, segmenting notifications or store locating, etc...
Here I thought I should mention SimiCart. SimiCart is an Magento mobile app builder, which will automatically build a naitive Magento mobile app for your online business within the information you provide. Within 3 mins, not 30 days or 3 months as normal, you can have powerful mobile shopping apps with optimized mobile UI.

re: Mobile BI: Native App Or Browser?
Chris, agree that in the long term, HTML5-based apps that either run independently or in a browser will serve 80% of the market. However, in 2013 for mission-critical enterprise mobile apps such as mobile BI, native has the upper hand for now.

re: Mobile BI: Native App Or Browser?
What I hear repeatedly from CIOs is they'd like to get to a single platform so browser based/HTLM5 looks like the future, but for now they're doing iOS and Android native apps. That hasn't changed much over the past year or two.
