I shared your article among some colleagues and one pointed out that there may be a word missing in this sentence:

 

"At the same time, the degree of difficulty [missing word here?] between vendor technologies ..."

 

Would you have intended to say "migrating" or "interfacing" or "communicating" ... perhaps all of the above?  Thanks!

Can they legislate a standard or will defacto prevail once again
Others have tried at various stages to superimpose interoperability on a segment of the industry and rarely succeeded. Legislated standards are ignored and defacto standards simply survive long enough to gradually dominate the field. But these two bodides may have the muscle and gravitas to achieve mobility that works across clouds.
