I think what this incident has proved is the fact that Apple is the most secure platform available at this point in time. People who need this kind of security would actually be willing to invest into Apple devices. Apple is getting positive publicity at no additional cost.

It doesn't "seem". It is counterproductive. The more invisible a smartphone becomes even when it is right infront of our eyes, the security concerns increase.

What this means
I heard Apple is trying to make a security patch that would prevent even Apple engineers from hacking into an iPhone. Which is rather counterproductive if seems.
