I think the company has failed to live to the expectatitions of its users. I am not sure why so many people needs to repair their home button from third party. Either its beacause of faulty home button or non availability of their branded repair shop around the intended market they were targeting. I believe it shows casual attitude towards R&D at the comapany. But releasing of an update to fix this problem is a right move and in time before this problem gets out of hands.

And how do we know the lame excuse is bogus? Because it only bricks the phone on update of the software. If you replaced the touch ID of your phone, it worked for months. Until you do an update. Then it bricked it. You still could use it after that, releasing all that data. You just couldn't update the software.
