Capturing Market with Android 6
"A slew of phone makers, including HTC, LG, and Samsung, are pushing the Android 6.0 update to their flagship smartphones. However, this version of Android -- Marshmallow -- will still not make it to the majority of smartphones."

Eric, these companies are competing for introducing new smartphones with new OS version to capture the market. Till Yesterday these companies introduced different models of handset with Android 5.1 and promoting it. But when coming with new version of OS, they won't give free OS upgradation to existing smartphones, other than their premium handsets.
