Sustainable pace The Real 40 hours per week (35 hours for Euro)
8. Agile processes promote sustainable development.  The sponsors, developers, and users should be able to maintain a constant pace indefinitely.

How many of these companies follow the 8th Principle of the 'Agile Manifesto'?  They may 'claim' to be 'Agile',

but do they follow the 12 Principles of the Agile Manifesto?  In other words how many follow a true 40 hour week and how many do not?

Re: Trickle down
It is interesting to me (and yet not at the same time) that there are no traditionally "traditional" :) companies on this list.  My guess as to why that is is this: most of these companies operate like they are "factories" (9-to5/no work-life balance/bureaucratic nonsense, etc) and not "workplaces."  Work is life and life is work no one wants to "work" at a place that doesn't respect "life" - not when you have options anyway.

Re: Opportunity and inclusion
I love this list - working in IT industry means you need to devote a 60 work hour week continuously, which is not easy. So you need to choose your employer wisely. Culture fit is the key factory - diversity, inclusion and also if you can fit yourself into the company's value framework.

Data Company
I think Zillow would be an interesting place to work. I'm a little surprised Google was unseated and landed in 8th for this year's list.

Re: Opportunity and inclusion
Understanding each employee's motivation is a good initiative. However do you think it's practical when it comes to large, multinational companies.

@sunita I agree with you. It is always better to think from the employees point of view. Specially in the field of IT.
