Microsoft's Strategy
It seems that Microsoft's strategy to focus HoloLens towards the business and work sector, and not towards everyday use as the Google Glass aimed, is paying off.

A price point of $3,000 seems a little high but, for the enterprise it would not be a lot -- industrial employees are already working with +$5,000 Fluke measurement devices and building value through these devices.

For enterprise, such a cost is not a big deal. What matters is what you can do with it - in other words, can you get your investment back in short enough time period?
