Gadget gifts
Thanks! I was unaware of that these gadgets even exist! Perfect timing to put this article out as well. It gave me gift ideas for Christmas, and you can't go wrong with the prices of these gadgets. I really like the doodle pen.

Re: Gadget gifts
I wonder if the Nest Protect also serves as a carbon monoxide alarm. If it does, then I think Nest Protect has a shot. Personally, I don't think I will look into purchasing this item. Fortunately, my current alarm is a dual fire and carbon monoxide alarm in one. Also, the alarm is piercing!

Thing Explainer reminds me of the time -- before the inernet -- when I spoke to a friend about finding the source of a quote. She had a book that covered that kind of thing (not a quotation book but a general reference source for finding these things). I think it may have been

Is it bad that none of these appeal to me?
Except maybe the activity tracker. But I'm a runner so I already have a Garmin. Still, there is that weird techie/exercise twist to it that makes it interesting...

I think the best one is the programming set for kids.  Today's kids really have some nice kits that make programming such a  fun activity.  If schools are promoting programming at younger age, they have a lot of tools to get kids interested.  Are there any teachers that have use such set among their students?

@pedro: I would surely be giving kids in my family this programming kit. Earlier to this year I gave a Raspberry Pi basic to a kid but he couldn't quite work it out because he found it not intriguing. This programming kit would probably be the end of my problems.

Re: Gadget gifts
@Angelfuego: Gifting and The Steampunk Watch are two words that don't go in the same line. So if I went to buy it for somebody, greed would take over and I would end up buying it for myself. Come on its so cool!
