Re: Upgrades: When We Microsoft Get This Down ?
Taking my word on everything is always the correct way to proceed.

Snort.

Even microsoft will admit 8 was--ummm---not what it should have been. The last gasp of Ballmer.

Re: Upgrades: When We Microsoft Get This Down ?
@Technocrati: You can't blame MS for being short sighted. Of course there could be complications. What really surprised me was when I upgraded from 7, I was given the illusion that this OS is really powerful and cool and places lots of power in my hands, only to realize later that MS had smartly played me into believing I had power. This OS is as restricted as 8.

Re: Prognostication or Pure Luck ?
I just had to pick up the private line I have to MicrosoftCentral, and tell them that you were peeved. Worked like a charm.

Yeah, there is that.

It's been a busy day on this story. They were holding out until late this afternoon about the re-install.

Prognostication or Pure Luck ?
"... Oh well, maybe if I wait long enough, someone will figure out how to make these two upgrades - just one again."

Now that is what I call service, didn't have to wait long at all !

Re: Upgrades: When We Microsoft Get This Down ?

@larry    Thanks, all my righteous indignation gone to waste ?

I am happy to hear that, now I can go ahead and upgrade before they change it again.
