Re: Hope This Update Is Better
My pleasure. By the way i have updated to iOS 9 without problems and i like the features. Now if they can get the watch OS2 working i could really appreciate my Apple Watch a lot more!

Thanks for that tjgkg. I'll skip Lollipop all together, and wait for Marshmallow.

Re: Hope This Update Is Better
That is interesting as i found earlier Android upgrades to be problem free. Lollipop surprised me with the overheating. I have a friend who has the S6 Edge and has the same problems. They really need to get everyone on board or there will be a problem going forward. I switched to Apple when my contract ended and have not had any problems with the two upgrades so far. I think iOS 9 is coming out next month but typically i have not had problems with the point upgrades either on any iOS device i have owned.

I wish i had stayed on Kit Kat!!! Once i went to Lollipop my S4 started overheating and my battery lost power much quicker despite no change in usage.

I'm still on KitKat. I don't know if I suppose to be happy or sad about it.

Re: Hope This Update Is Better
Sadly I think the issues with updates often comes from having to rely on third party hardware vendors to ensure they have the ability to support these new versions of Android.  There are many manufacturers that are barely supporting Lollipop, and it's causing a lot of issues with users who want to upgrade to the latest functionality of Android.  Not sure what the fix is though, as we still need the BIOS of these third-parties to support Android, but for Google, ensuring they can push their OS across as many platforms as possible is a very huge task.

Hope This Update Is Better
The last few Android updates were not very good. In particular the phones tended to overheat and battery life was noticeably reduced. Fixing the permissions will be better and allow users to pick and choose what parts of the system the apps have access to.
