Re: Android Auto
@SunitaT0: I agree with you, what is a smart car if it doesn't feed real time data back to the user? The best part of such cars would be that sensors would be able to detect any future breakdowns and have you repair the car. Automation really creates more jobs of mechanics and standalone software engineers.

Re: Android Auto
@Hammy: Android Auto still has some months to launch fully, maybe by the end of Q2? That is enough time to have most android Kitkat devices to be upgraded to 5.0 Lollipop. I'm just excited about all those app makers who will launch newer apps for the car making Android Auto into a pseudo-launcher (a platform on a platform).

Re: Android Auto
All ready to get my hands dirty with the new SDKs. For a developer this might be an important issue ,"It is only compatible with devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop". Many of my app analaytics speak that people are still using older versions of Android.

Re: Android Auto
Good idea but I doubt the car manufactures will allow it without having to pay a randsome for access driving up the cost. No way a free app is going to happen.

Android Auto
I think Android Auto should make some use of the smart car, meaning it should take advantage of the car's sensor systems and feed back real time data to the driver to make his/her ride safer.
