Re: T-Mobile, Virgin Offer New Low Cost Plans
These packagaes are enticing for family's of four, especially with those having children who are ready for their first phone. The plan is simple and the price is right! Hopefully more carriers will follow and offer more of these low cost plans.

Re: at least the pricing is moving in the right direction
Yeah.  I think these days are a good time to get a phone.  For example, with verizon that is my provider, you can get a 10% discount on your phone bill by your employer. They offered me another discount which would help me cut the cost of my telephone bill.  Other industry should really learn from the telephone industry, more competition, more diversity and less money consumers have to spend on their phones.

What about pay-as-you-go
Does any carrier offer pay-as-you-go plans for smartphones?  I am not a big phone user but I would consider buying a smarphone with such a plan

at least the pricing is moving in the right direction
things are much better now than they were when the iPhone was new and smartphone bills regularly exceeded $100.
