Re: better accessibility needs time
"I was disapointed that AppleWatch development kit doesn't let developers access information from its sensors.  I think this is something third app developers can really contribute.  I'm sure as time goes one. Apple will allow third party developers greater access to the AppleWatch hardware. "

You mean cloud integration? That the apple iWatch has. If you're talking about early access to the information from the sensors without passing data mining agency certificates (i.e a practise of being open source data), you would have to wait until there's a number of data mining agencies around and they let you dabble your fingers at the data.

"I'm hoping some day soon Apple or Samsung will integrate some means of capturing motion energy for battery recharging. Even if moving around wouldn't fully recharge a phone it could extend the battery a few hours."

Nice idea that. Yes, battery life of the watch seems to be up for debate, and this is crucial because if in the earlier stages it fails to boast its features then the watch wouldn't be a buzz.

Maybe the watch could be powered by solar power, or by infrared sensors or by micro windmills etc.

Re: better accessibility needs time
I agree. The battery life on an iphone is terrible.  I have some friends who prefer their old phone with a long battery than a smartphone with very little battery life.  I guess we can't have it both ways, a device with many apps and a long lasting battery life.

Re: better accessibility needs time
This all sounds pretty cool to me. I don't use HealthKit, so I don't mind that it doesn't support it. I also prefer limited apps, if it means that the battery lasts longer. I can't stand constantly having to charge my devices. The battery life on a lot of products has a lot to be desired with the exception of my Kindle.

better accessibility needs time
