Re: No Ballmer
Without Alan Turing the world wide web would be a melting pot of hackers. His breaking down of the german codes was the greatest single contribution to the allied forces in the world war. I would easily put him above Zuckerberg.

Snowden and Mayer
If you do end up inviting Snowden and key Google executives then that will turn into a showdown. Also adding Marissa Mayer to that list really spices up things a bit, from a technical point of view. Google vs Yahoo is a show I'm betting my turkey on.

Larry Ellison. I'd have him bring the turkey. The Oracle cafeteria is legendary. He's a bit of a foodie.

You'd need to give him a hat so as not to confuse him with the turkey. ;-)

My guest list
@Thomas: If there's still room at the table, I'd like to bring along:

Stephen Hawking - imagine hearing his theories through a haze of triptophan?

Brian Eno - a music techie beyond compare, he could set Stephen's words to song

Vala Afshar - because his views on the wacky world of tech are always enteratining (@ValaAfshar)

Andi Karaboutis - former Dell CIO now at Biogen and one of the smartest women in tech (@AndiKaraboutis)

T-day guests
This year I'd invite Michael Dell. He must have great stories to tell about what he can do now that the company is private again. Maybe he can bring some barbeque, too.

No Ballmer
Sorry,  I have to go with dead people. Far more interesting than anyone here now, and some of whom we've  already met, or will meet

List:

Ada Lovelace

Grace Murray Hopper

Alan Turing

Ballmer gets an invite
I would invite Steve Ballmer. He's guaranteed to bring conversation and energy to the dinner table. Maybe too much energy. But even if he goes into sweaty yelling mode, at least the tryptophan would sedate him.
