It was very necessary change (though, honestly, how many users actually read the policies? Very few, I'd guess).

I understand your hesitation toward automatic settings, though I use Facebook on my iPad, iPhone, personal computer, and work laptop. That would be a huge pain (for me) if I had to change settings on each device. I welcome that change.

Moving forward, settings and preferences you adjust will be reflected across every device you use, the company said.

I don't like when everything in technology is automatic. I would want to adjust preferences on all devices separately.

Usually, all privacy policies evolve with time. I am just impressed at one thing: they reduced the size and made it easier to understand by common folks (users without law degrees). It is a step that very few company dares to take.

Seems like facebooks privacy policy will be an ongoing work in progress, hopefully for the better. If you really want privacy, stay off of Facebook, right?
