DeSalvo inspired a lot of trust based on her actions in New Orleans after Katrina destroyed the city's healthcare infrastructure, clinics, and records (amongst many other things). She appears to have an ability to get things done in a city seen overflowing with gridlock.

Regarding your question, who owns patient data, did you see a special report I wrote: "Who Owns EHR Data?" I interviewed doctors, software developers, big data and analytics experts, attorneys, and others to drill down into that question and the implications data-ownership has on consumers, healthcare providers, and health researchers.

Thanks for the information. Hope she can live up to the expectations and hoping she can pull off this huge task . Yeah EHR does bring in a lot of issues with it. Whom does the patient data belong to, I loved the question!
