In regards to point 3: Gamification is an important part of grabbing an individuals attention as humanbeings are quite competitive in nature. I strongly believe that if a piece of technology can create harmless competition between peers it can result in an increased demand for the product. In the case of the apple watch, individuals can be compelled to purchase the device in order to compete with their friends. The social benefits of the device may outweigh the technological benefits while keeping in mind that the technological benefits are the main reason for the social benefits.
