More than visbility, I'd be concerned with purpose. There are a few reasons a device should be wearable: It receives or transmits information to or from the body; it gains energy by being worn; or it identifies/authenticates the wearer and cannot easily be removed.
Unfortunately, many wearables do not need to be worn.
