Re: What do people really want?

Strangely enough the smart -watch seems like a let down after the advances of the cell phone - most people are more than satisfied by having this mini-computer in their pocket - who needs a watch that does basically the same thing ?

Now if you want to use the watch like a smartphone ( which I don't think is possible yet ) then that is different, but as of right now, there is no real need and thus no real excitement.

IMO this is an tech offering that is not quite up to expectations due to the success of it counterpart - the cell phone.

What do people really want?
What about those who don't know yet if they want a smart watch at all, or a simple watch for that matter? :)

Many people don't wear a watch anymore since they always carry their smartphone. Wearing a watch just for the time started to make no sense.

Now, I believe those who decide to but an Apple Watch, or any other smartwatch will do it because they want or need some of the other smart functions.

One observation that is funny for being such a contradiction is that for years people were talking about smartwatches, wanting them, asking for them, dreaming about them, especially asking for an Apple Watch.

Now, they have smartwatches, and even the Apple Watch that everybody wanted. And what happens? No one seems to be happy. Or just a few are happy. Or, maybe I happen to get to read all the negativity that seems to be flourishing everywhere like daisies in spring? :/

I am super happy I am not a smart-device designer. The poor guys are probably all frustrated. :(
