Re: Importance of mobile payments
I'm curious to see how this device pulls off class-leading functionality while also evidently looking so good that Apple invited a ton of fashion magazines to its event. There will be some seriously impressive engineering, if it's up the hype.

The iClamp? Unfortunately, Apple's not in the business of helping us save money.

Re: Importance of mobile payments
I expect Apple will do mobile payments well. And I'm not sure that's a great thing for consumers. I wish Apple would make a wallet clamp to keep me from spending more rather than making it flow away from me more easily.

Importance of mobile payments
For the iPhone 6 a bigger screen and more RAM is all well and good, but I agree with Tom, a simple and secure mobile payment system would set this iPhone/iWatch duo apart.

I use individual apps to do mobile payments (Starbucks, Boloco, etc). It's nice to not be reliant on a physical wallet, and cash and cards etc, but using each brand's app for mobile payments isn't practical. I want one mobile app that works for payments everywhere. I assume Apple will exploit this need but it will have to earn the public's trust in ways that Google Wallet and others have not.
