Being a recovering candy crush addict (I quit cold turkey), I can say honestly that no, there is no difference!!! ;)

Re: Next stop: Mars
@StaceyE: But is there really that big a difference between zombies and Candy Crush addicts?  ;)

@ David

Very good points. The infrastructure would quickly crumble without people to keep it together. You're right that many people don't consider that and some even assume that it would just keep going...I still am not sure about the martian colony, but Candy Crush does make it ever so more inviting!

You make a very good point. From a survivalist standpoint a Super Walmart would be the perfect place to hole up during a zombie attack!!

Re: Tough Call
@Dave: You gotta check these underground luxury living options out.  Self-sustaining gardens.  Aquarium for fish (for food).  And protected by military weapons to keep the zombies and other riffraff out.  Pretty amazing stuff.

Space?  Pssh.  It's for the birds.

Re: Next stop: Mars
Only if the zombies learn to use tools.  Until that point it means I'm never far from a way to defend myself.

Thank you again for the conversation, I love the geekend blogs they are usually good for spurring out of the ordinary conversations while keeping a tech leaning to them.

Re: Next stop: Mars
I've had heated discussions with engineering wizards over AAA batteries, I don't doubt that the spirt will be there when the ships lift off but once you hit the surface of Mars I would expect the niceties to cease.  Especially if your "brightest" have no survival skills, they are going to hoard resources because they lack the ability to do anything else.  Maybe we should launch some more robots first to make sure there are more moving objects on Mars for people to take frustrations out on.

Re: Next stop: Mars
Just keep an eye out for me, I'm planning on settling near a coffee plantation.  I think this would be a good team building exercise.  Assuming the zombie apocalypse started today could your team survive or at least come up with a plan for survival.
