Human touch
I'm usually wary of any app that aggregates info from facebook, linkedin etc. But this idea is good enough that I'll look the other way. My contact list is dry as dust, just names and numbers, sometimes a headshot. I like the idea of the names coming alive with useful info about the person.

Re: Human touch
It looks promising but I suspect if there's ever a killer app in this space, it will create contacts without reference to a person's documents. The way it should work is just snap a picture of someone and have all their data entered properly into your contacts database. Obviously, that's not easy to do for a variety of reasons.

Re: Human touch
I'm the kind of person who remembers a lot about people, but not their names. So I'd be tempted.

Re: Human touch
I have had some people confirm my contact information with Humin recently. I was wondering what it was – and it sounds interesting.

I use Android, so maybe I will check it out when it arrives for the platform. Contact management is in dire need for disruption or at least innovation, so I'd like to try this.

@Shane I agree with you and kinda like this idea. But I wonder what kind of info is likely to be shared. How the autantication of information is verified.

Re: Human touch
This is really interesting. I also use an Android device, so when Humin is available on the platform, I'm definitely going to give it a go.

Re: Human touch
True, Thomas. But at the same, I just think of all the potential privacy issues that are breached if such an app is able to do that with a picture alone.

Re: Human touch
@nomii the user can verify others' contact information within the app, which will send your contact an email asking him/her to verify their information.

@Kristin thanks for the update but I am keeping my fingers crossed on that and will wait and see and comment after using it. I feel the info posted can be used to invade your privacy. Isnt it

Re: Human touch
Re: Invade your privacy -- The information the app pulls on your contacts is information either you have stored in your phone (such as their phone number) or information the person has publicly added to social networks, such as their email address, phone number, etc.
