Re: What about privacy settings?
Yep, seems like a good insurance policy to wipe out any potentially off-putting photos or comments on FB. Facebook is no longer the place to reveal the real you or something close to it. That's Instagram's job now.

Re: What about privacy settings?
If your settings are set to friends only, they likely wouldn't see your pictures -- unless (in the rare instance) that you and a recruiter share common friends. In this case, friends may have posted photos of you that they share with the "friends of friends" setting, which means a recruiter might be able to see them. Again -- rare? Yes, but it could happen.

Facebook's privacy settings change so often that many people have given up -- or are simply overwhelmed. For that reason, I've had a number of friends leave Facebook. Others will go the route of deleting pictures so they know no one can find them -- which this app helps you do.

Re: Red solo cups
Recruiters I've spoken to have all said they vet potential candidates on all social networks they can find -- especially Facebook. Are they likely to penalize you for pictures with friends at parties and bars? Probably not -- but they still want you (and your social profiles) to be professional. If anything, this tool can serve as a reminder that you may need to clean up your presence.

What about privacy settings?
Is this app really needed, at least for Facebook? if my settings are set to private/friends only, wouldn't a potential employer be locked out from viewing my posts or pics? Though I understand many FB users are careless about privacy settings...

Red solo cups
Are we really to the point where recruiters are scrutinizing pictures with red solo cups? They do hold iced tea, soda, all manner of non-alcoholic drinks. PS: That cat looks thirsty, Kristin.
