LucidEra Launches On-Demand Business-Intelligence Service

The venture-capitalist-funded company offers a forecast-to-billing service that provides metrics for sales managers, sales operations, and finance.

Startup LucidEra on Wednesday officially launched its on-demand business-intelligence service that combines sales and financial data.

The company, funded by Silicon Valley venture capitalists Benchmark Capital and Matrix Partners, offers a forecast-to-billing service that provides metrics for sales managers, sales operations, and finance.

Metrics available through the service include a customer's progress from order to cash collection, and how well a sales team is doing in terms of quotas, pipeline, revenues, and expenses. Sales and business managers can also determine how fast deals are moving through the sales and billing cycle and check product sales, margins, and discounts.

The LucidEra BI platform includes prebuilt connectors to common data sources, as well as data extraction, transformation, and loading technology that transfers financial, product, and customer data to the LucidEra database. Subscribers set their own refresh cycles.

The platform includes a data cleansing service that merges and matches data from multiple sources. An OLAP server delivers views of the data for analysis, and the LucidEra user interface enables the creation of business reports. To access the system, customers log in to the LucidEra Web site.

The service is available now.
