Losses Force Job Cuts At Manugistics

Manugistics Group plans to cut its employee roster 10% to 12%, down to 1,225 to 1,250 people, to help stem losses. The supply-chain software and services vendor reported a net loss of $47.7 million on sales of $69.9 million, compared with a net loss of $21.7 million on sales of $73.8 million in the same period last year. Says CEO Greg Owens, "Our No. 1 goal now is accelerating our return to profitability."
