The vendor has timed its inaugural partner conference to coincide with the release of its updated customer relationship management software. This week, Results Software of Herndon, Va., takes the wraps off of Results CRM 2010, which company executives say will include all the same features and functionality of its predecessor, but with a new-and-improved look and feel. One of the key features of the software is its bidirectional integration with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, both of which are used by more than 80 percent of SMBs, according to Naseem Saab, president and founder of Results Software. That integration, he says, does away with information silos that can hamper productivity.

About 35 percent of Results Software's CRM sales go through the channel, and the vendor continues to build on its partner initiatives, with plans to double its VAR base in the next year or so.

The upcoming conference will help Results Software do just that. Slated for Aug. 27 and 28 at the Washington Dulles Marriott Suites in Herndon, the QuickStart 2010 Partner Conference is aimed at ramping up new channel players and supporting existing ones.

Day 1 targets the former, with in-depth information on the Results platform, including licensing options, proposal preparation, installation basics, ROI, best practices, and service offerings. During the workshop, attendees will get all the information they need to pass the Results Software certification test, which will be administered the same day. (Aspiring partners will find out immediately whether or not they've passed the exam.) As an added incentive, Results Software is slashing the Certified Partnership Application Fee to $695, from $895, through Aug. 28.

Meanwhile, the vendor is billing Day 2 as a "deep dive" session for existing partners, who will gain additional insight into Results CRM installation, implementation, data integration, and training opportunities. "This is an intense two-day event that's designed to get our partner base energized and provide them with all the tools they need to market, sell, and deploy Results CRM," says Mayya Saab, CEO and CFO of Results Software. "The second day will equip existing partners with the know-how and tools they need to support their customers during a Results deployment from A to Z."

Attendees can also enjoy a tour of Washington, D.C., on the afternoon of the 28th. A private bus will visit several historic locations, including the Iwo Jima, Lincoln, WWII, and FDR memorials.

The registration deadline for the Results QuickStart 2010 Partner Conference has been extended to Aug. 21.
