Re: Tech Jobs and Pay: Encouraging News for Those In The Trenches
@dave -- interesting list - I see some new jobs, and some older ones (systems architect) are listed. I dont' see my old job, tech writer -- guess it didn't make it in this year (!)
Was pondering if the "data scientist" role will change in the coming 1-2 years, and morph into something else -- maybe get swallowed up by analytics. If we accept that technology brings changes to the job arena, predicting is kind of hard.
If I'm starting college now, what do I study? What do I train for? How much liberal arts? How much science? How much phys ed? And what graduate school? Difficult to know. So few people live in the rarefied air of Solutions Manager that aiming for the top isn't always within our abilities.
Re: doctors. Have you tried any of the telemedicine apps? I've got one on my phone that offers general medicine, pediatrics, and psychology. Appoints with all these drs. are a phone call away, aided by Skype, etc. at a reasonable fee.
