Consumer electronics company ViewSonic on Tuesday announced the availability of two multi-touch products -- an all-in-one PC and a monitor.

The 22-inch VX2258wm is ViewSonic's first touchscreen, full high-definition display monitor and lets users move and resize photos and web pages and documents by touching the screen. It can be used for applications including education, gaming, and retail. The energy-efficient monitor can save users up to 30% in average power consumption, the Walnut, Calif.-based company said.

It requires Windows 7 Home Premium or above to take advantage of the touch capabilities. It has a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast, an anti-glare coating and comes standard with DVI and VGA inputs and built-in speakers with SRS Premium Sound. The monitor can be mounted on the wall with an optional VESA mount kit.

The second-generation 21.5-inch VPC220T multi-touch all-in-one PC is geared at small and midsize businesses (SMBs) and the enterprise. It runs on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a full HD active matrix LCD.

It comes with an Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor E6600, Nvidia GeForce 310M graphics with 512-MB VRAM and 4-GB DDR3 memory, upgradeable to 8-GB, and a 320-GB hard drive. It supports 802.11 b/g/n wireless and gigabit Ethernet connectivity, and has a 1.3 megapixel webcam, card reader, stereo speakers, HDMI-in, six high-speed USB 2.0 ports and DVD burner. The VPC220T can also be mounted to a wall.

Demand for multi-touch products is growing as "businesses and consumers alike are engaging with more touch interactive applications," said Sally Wang, senior director of product marketing at ViewSonic, in a statement.

The VX2258wm monitor comes with a three-year limited warranty and retails for $339. The VPC220T PC comes with a one-year limited warranty and is available for $1,049. The VPC220 all-in-one PC without touch functionality is also available for $949. The products are available through resellers, online and at ViewSonic.

Last month ViewSonic rolled out two Android-powered wireless tablets for social media and entertainment apps.
